The citizen science case studies provide basic process steps for planning, designing and carrying out citizen science projects to advance the missions of their agencies to improve cross-agency collaboration, reveal opportunities for new high-impact projects, and make it easier for volunteers to find out about projects they can join. This section provides a number of citizen science projects to assist government practitioners, researchers, citizens, community leaders, and educational institutions to “leave no one behind” and consider all types of people.
